hey, so what's with the activex component my browser is blocking through eztv
now?

i don't notice any loss of functionality yet (i haven't allowed the
component). if someone tells me what it's for that would be most appreciated.

cheers

that's why i'm wary, i wouldn't have expected it from eztv but it's definately
coming off this site. maxthon is automatically blocking it, very strange.

indeed, i restarted and now the warning has gone. i guess my browser was just
throwing a fit.

i'm using maxthon, which is based on ie6 but with all the crap removed and
security put in.

and yes, i also have firefox but i still think maxthon is better. like i
said, i'm no longer getting the activex warnings from eztv, so i'm not sure
what happened yesterday, maybe it was from another tab but the browser chose
to display it in the front tab (doesn't sound very plausable to me).

it will remain a mystery i'm sure.

mystery solved, it comes from bt-chat and then the bar just remains in my
browser window once i go 'back' to eztv.

took a while, but i got there in the end.

i was about to say... we will and never will have any crap on our site (besides
the usual user generated content) 🙂
