Funny Man Show Reviews Thread

ok folks, before i begin with another one of my reviews, i need to address an
issue first. it has been brought to my attention that my reviews are viewed by
some as "intending to stir people". let me break down why i write my
reviews...and why so many fans love them:

with my reviews i intend to shake the cages of current tastes by being the
vanguard of uncompromising artists of all types of endeavors regardless of what
it is. no more shall the tv watching audience be forced to endure such staples
as the unfunny and utterly infuriating tv shows that have taken over the tv
scene. i will shock people but what i am doing wont be done for the sake of
shocking people. it is time to wake up the tv watching audience and the tv
downloading audience to the power of the funny man.

while i certainly disagree with many of your positions on shows, i like to think
i am open-minded to read them with an open mind.

i am ready to stand corrected on my views that you are just here to stir.

frank tv s01e04 dsr xvid-sys

"master" of impersonation frank caliendo greets me with another overtly
comedy-free episode of the abysmal "frank tv". the guy's impressions are
disjointed, shambolic, unconvincing and downright lame. i have witnessed better
george bush impressions performed by my cat.

3/10 - pointless.

no way! this is my damn thread - one sole place where i can document my work, to
make it the single access point for both my subscribed fans and all the idiots
trying to get a rise out of me by insulting both me personally and ripping into
my reviews. if any imposter reviews show up here i will return to adding my work
to the individual episode discussion threads as before.

if we're going to be subjected to your opinion only, can we get some
background on the 'funny man'?

like nationality, age, worst/favourite tv show ever.. these sorts of things
are sculpting your opinion on these shows and i'd like to get a perspective on
your perspective, if you get what i mean.

no. this thread is solely about my reviews. i intend to open another thread
entitled "funny man reviews: the discussion", where fans and anti-fans can
comment on my work if they wish. there will be no "get to know: funny man"
threads as i view that as swaying from my original mission statement.

i'm fairly convinced funny man is a 12 year old homeless american girl,
watching tv shows through the window of electrical stores at night, wishing
she could hear the sound. using internet cafes by day to steal other people's
opinions off imdb comments, and then passing them off as her own in her very
own eztv thread. the very same thread that is too good for anyone else to
voice an opinion or review of a show.

i could be wrong, but i'd like to think thats the truth.

funny man review: californication.

another annoying, pointless and unfunny mess. duchovney's wooden acting,terrible
script and too many plotholes to mention are all factors for this show's
downfall.

2/10 - complete rubbish.

it just seems like there's no point in reviewing anything if we could just
predict that you're going to give it 2/10 and call it 'utterly disappointing'
for every show.

btw, where are your 'fans'? i heard you mention them once or twice but it
beggers belief that anyone could actually be a fan of this drivel.

no! funny man would like to answer some of the more valid questions put to me by
the haters. i also appreciate the feedback (good or bad) i receive from the
people. i would prefer if this thread had a freedom of speech. i certainly am
not offended by anything written here and i don't see how anyone else should be,
no matter how dire their choice of tv is 😉

q1: i noted an earlier post wondering if all i do is write negative reviews.
this is not true.

i gave dexter, heroes and lost (amongst others) rave reviews.

q2: where are your fans?

funny man fans normally read the review, enjoy it, then pm funny man telling him
how ace his work is. they don't feel the need to launch into keyboard warfare
off the bat of a review they don't "agree" with.

q3: can you really call a 3 line blurb a review?

my work is hard hitting, straight to the point, asks no questions and takes no
prisoners. while other inferior review-novices can take 5 pages of crap to get
the point across, funny man gets the point to you in a fraction of the time with
increased impact.

or the other.
