before: 25"tv from laptops tv out. and analog stereo out.
then got me a home theater system with divx support so i just transfer the files
to my neeon2 plug it in my player.
then laptop broke, other pc don't have video out. no 3d card. and is crap.
now. 42" hdtv lcd through my home theater system with divx upscaled to 720p.
and mkv files playing from ps3 as my pc can't play them. and with the firmware i
can watch divx in 1080p now 🙂
dedicated htpc connected via component/hdmi to projector/plasma. remote
controlled vista media center, running the mytv add-in to keep track of all tv
series which are stored on a server in the loft.
also have two xboxes connected to crt displays in other rooms, connected to
the same storage pool - these are running xmbc. finally a xbox360 connected
via component to a lcd display - running as an extender to the main htpc,
unfortunately mcx does not support anything but wmv (well, almost) so not
being used much.
always on my tv through my divx dvd player on dvd-r's.
same here. suppose it can depend on age of your tech and size of monitor or tv
but my tv's bigger screen so thats the way to go for me, as avi's thou, my pc's
old can take hours to re-master avi's as dvds
laptop when i\'m by myself and just want background noise, vid out to tv when
there is more than just me or i like the show, (vista has issues with dual
screening with my lappy though, so its a mission and a half to get it set up)
then burn to dvd for storage, and watching from divx dvd player. i\'m a squirrel
with downloaded tv eps and movies, so have loads i\'ll never watch again, but i
*might* want to see it again, or my friends *might* want to see it.....
