blablabla.[eztv].torrent

the formation of torrent names is a problem because it makes the browsers
"always do the selected action" (at least firefox 3's) not work because of the
"." in front of [eztv].
could you please change it?

ok, it might not be the "."'s fault afterall.
i checked and downloading eztv's torrents from mininova works ok.
so it must have something to do with bt-chat..
am i really the only one with the problem?
because the problem has been there for me for several clean widnwos installs..

i reinstalled windows for other reasons.
i just noted the problem not going away even then.

for once its microsoft's fault. download.php is doing exactly what it is
supposed to. the meta redirect is certainly generated correctly. apparently,
ie's download blocking system doesn't follow links properly, and causes it to
strip out the torrent hash when reloading.

until i can come up with a workaround, when using mirror 1, you can do a few
things. 1) use firefox, as they apparently know how to code their browsers
correctly. 2) if you have to use ie, click the download now link, as opposed
to waiting for the meta refresh.

in fact, i'll strip that out for ie, saves the hastle.

don't know about everywhere else, but political correctness has gone mad here
