yeah it's fluff, but it's fun, entertaining fluff that never takes itself too seriously. there's stupid music you love, stupid movies you love, and same for flash gordon. for what it is, it's well done. if you do your homework, flash gordon has been around for maybe 40-50 years in various formats, from comics to radio serials to strange, excessive '80s movies with crazy costumes and a wicked soundtrack by queen. |

must partially agree with the last 2 - although flash gordon (not the flash) seemed to me rather good from the start (believed in it when almost no one else did), i'm still puzzled why the scifi mfs cancelled it, especially after seeing a very good pilot, additionally released week or 2 ago. would very much like to see dresden files continuing, as well as standoff - both shows didn't get at least decent 1 season wrap ups |

if anyone cares about the wga/not-wga status of the writers... quote above is from jonathan lloyd walker's blog (rankol) on blog.scifi.com/flashgordon. so we're all a bit wrong. they *are* wga-written, but the scripts were finished pre-strike, so there's no hack-jobbing going on. finale was filmed in december. |

dresden files (which i loved, and love it for showing me the books) was cancelled due to lack of people watching it. i don't know why flash gordon is still on tbh. |
