can't watch some episodes / green screen

hi everybody

i have a problem. i downloaded the newest episode of torchwood (se2 ep4) and all
i get are about 2minutes of black and green screen.
i had the same problem before with a scrubs episode.
it obviously is a codec problem but i have all the codecs i can think of (xvid,
vlc, divx, etc...).

can anyone help me out?

i can watch all the over episodes without having any problems and this green
screen thingy just happend with one scrubs and one torchwood episode.



ps: please forgive my bad writing (i'm from germany and still a student).

i figured it out.

it works fine with vlc-player. usually i can watch everything with wmp (windows
media player)even xvid and vlc encoded stuff.


so for all of you guys out there who have the same problem: browse your vlc
player and play the file (torchwood, scrubs or whatever else comes up) directly
with vlc.

vlc da player. still, you could use gspot to get an idea about the codecs
required to play a file.
