i don't know if this will help anyone, i downloaded the latest free software from divx.com opened the file using this and no problems. |

this played no problem on gom player www.gomplayer.com ![]() however i can't convert and burn to dvd! ugh |

don't know what you are all complaining about. it plays no problem. mplayer never even twitched. |

why anyone would choose to play an avi through software using 3rd party codecs is beyond me. anyway ffmpeg -i filename.avi -vcodec copy -acodec copy outfile.avi will fix any file header problems or nic\'s 4cc changer (the one that comes with xvid bin.).. just rewrite the avi header |

red-faced, i need to admit that the second torrent that i downloaded from isohunt (the more recent of the two) did not play with real player either. i finally saw the repack on eztv and downloaded that.... |
