Diwana & AussieTorrents down ?

murphy's law - first time for ages that i want to grab an aussie show torrent
that hasn't made it to wider distribution, and i find i can't get into either
diwana.org or aussietorrents.com

the irc channel's topic just says:-
'aussietorrents.com & diwana.org :: the sites are down. this channel is
closed. santa isn't real. check aussietorrents next week for more information.
'

any ockers got any idea what's going on ?


[p.s. the show was blackjack: ghosts , staring colin friel - aired back in
december if any kind soul knows an alternate source 😉]

more important than any show...super 14 is only in the second week!

that being said...the tracker server is still up and running and listed as okay,
at least for diwana.

i think (hope) that it is just the 'front end' server that went down...hopefully
just due to lots of rugby talk and traffic.

i managed to pin down one of the aussietorrent 'in the know' friday night to
fill in the gaps for me..

unfortunately not alot of the information gap got filled in with the answers..
other than 'it is all good' and they are "just doing some 'upgrades' with the
site offline and we will see them back with new improved features on the site
soon" or somesuch.

i queried ratio data in this site limbo state and was reassured that *all* the
usual data transfers from torrents already active using the tracker will
count towards your ratio as usual.

sorry but this language is incoherent

heh, was already editing it.. then updated it.. and thought it wise to just go
over the post one more time to make sure...

godamn it was worse the second time.. this is why they tell the kiddies it is
not wise to go 72hours with no sleep i think :s

hope it somewhat more coherant now though.. but i'm on the express train to
sleepcomaland and any further parsing of the word jumble for meaning will have
to wait till morning i think heh.

oh.. also.. iirc v8 supercar torrents will be also posted on mininova in the
interim. possibly other series's also.

goodo. thanks for the re-assurance. i had some nasty fears things were going
to go in a demonoid sort of direction 😉
