Labeling non-English torrents, please?

Sorry if this is an old topic, but I have DLed a few shows, using
bandwidth I pay for by the megabyte (which is also painfully
slow), set myself up with snacks n such to watch the latest
release of a nice show (from US or GB as I don't watch others),
hit play and I am shocked to find the file is in French, or German,
with no other audio tracks available 9n VLC. Useless file, waste
of my money, my time, my everything really... Needless to say
this has made me quite angry every time.

I check the torrent name and nothing is there to indicate the
show I DLed, which is by default in English as it comes from an
English speaking country, is in another language. Usually these
torrents have "GERMAN" or whatever clearly added to the name
of the torrent, right?

So why does EZTV allow uploaders to add torrents that do not
follow this simple courtesy: if it aint in English, say so in the
torrent title???

Please do something about this. I don't think I can memorize all
the different codenames of all the different uploaders. I have
stopped getting anything added by "multi."

Be nice, he's just trying to help. NOW THEN, if you so desire there are ppl like me out there that will turn a torrent into an
English (if available) .mkv file for you, thus saving your broadband and downloading from the cloud. All you have to do is
ask...

Before you download a file you could check various different torrenting sites for a
detailed description of the files or it's comments if any, as the language isn't always
posted in the title... But as Rick said you can also just ask nicely if you have and
people will take the time to help if they can. We've all downloaded incorrect files
where it hasn't been labeled but we learn from our mistakes.

I was cleaely suggesting that torrents in a language other than English, that
should be in English as the content is from an English speaking country, be
clearly labelled as such to prevent myself and others from DLing useless files.

I was not asking for help. Not from you anyways. But from the people who
make the rules.... as in a rule change.

I can read... Your asking for a change in rules for files that are supposed to be in
English yet you forget there also released elsewhere so could be sourced from
"another country" specifically stating you won't download multi files. There labeled
multi for a reason the same with files labeled duel. Just because something says
"English" doesn't mean that file is English. You should always read the torrents
descriptions before you download, if it doesn't have one here find one with one
because most web info is just link copied from IMDb. so if the original language is
English it will show as English on the webpage... No torrent site will turn down a
good useable file because it isn't labeled "German or Italian or French in the title" the
any admin/mods would say as I am "always read the description" you don't buy a
mobile phone without checking the specs first so why download a torrent without
looking up the torrent info.

you really have no idea what you are talking about or who you are talking to.
all you seem to be doing is anti.

Asking that torrents released in a different language than the original source
material be labeled as such is not unreasonable. I have been torrenting since
the beginning of torrents and know that such torrents are usually properly
identified clearly. If you don't agree, then say so. But attacking me for pointing
it out, suggesting it is all somehow my fault, is pretty low.

If you did read (and comprehend) my OP you could have maybe noticed I have
a bad internet connection. Where I am I do not have the luxury of unlimited
bandwidth and am lucky to get 100 kbs DL on torrents. I joined this site back
in the early 2000s I believe. All torrents were English and I never had a
problem before.

And btw the phone I am typing on I bought without knowing anything about it
other than brand and storage. We don't all live in America. We don't all have
the same luxuries.

That being the case I simply think it would be advantageous for many users of
this platform to have languages labeled (if they are different than the original).

I am asking you to stop the anti/passive-aggressive blame game. Agree with
my point or not. fine. But do not make uninformed assumptions about me,
and stop being personal. Very bad form.

I made no assumptions about you personally even if it comes off that way I was
writing as if I'm speaking in third person in the way I'm saying "you" and used a
mobile phone purley as an example because it was a good one with lots of specs
like a torrent file.

I understand how internet varies worldwide and yes I do have that luxury of unlimited
internet but, I do get where your coming from on the downloading something for
nothing that costs you every time even tho I can download to my hearts content, but
the fact is some people post (eng) or (fr) ECT in titles, many don't. They will post it in
the torrent description instead. I agree it would be easier to identify but it just isn't
the case. If sites like this stopped taking torrents because of a lack of having (eng)
in the title they would be bare.

I was purely offering you a solution that may help with your bandwidth by just
reading the info/torrent description before downloading... I know people forget to, I
do sometimes but it's always best to check so as to avoid any unnecessary upset.

All this discussion is a moot point: There is NO staff here to add or change ANYTHING. It's been an unmodulated, non-
directed, anything goes forum for DECADES. Only volunteers such as Tyser, Bob Westbrook and others are around to try
and help. None of us have access to the site's code to do anything like you are requesting. So, sorry, but your requests for
format change will NOT happen.

Maybe they do try to Google "it"... But all they get is clown hahaha 😄 pennywise
strikes again!
