try a different player. seems people have problems in mpc. bsplayer, vlc, all 3
of my standalones work, hell even winamp and windows media player work.

audio: mp3 lame 3.9

works for me too.
for everyone having trouble, download the combined community codec pack at
cccp-project.net, it has all the codecs for any format you will ever need.
