i would say the reason there are no exploits out there is because, as we have
already been told, the mac is made for beginners. so the ratio of computer
literate people that would be capable of writing an exploit for a mac would be
practically zero compared to pc. i spose thats a good thing, but it is a false
sense of security for mac users. because of this, mac users are lax on
security and therefore a danger to everyone else on the internet.
a vulnerablity is a vulnerablity - you cant say os x vulnerabilities are more
secure than windows simply because noone using the damn thing has the nous to
write an exploit for it. however the existance of "proof of concept" worms
and trojans, such as osx/leap-a & osx.exploit.launchd, demonstrate that mac
vulnerabilities can and will be exploited - it's only a matter of time.
