BTW, I read the treads about ID's getting nuked and find it most interesting.
1. Under, Forum:General is the subheading "Random soapbox discussions" This does not mean TV
discussions only, as there are two other forum headings addressing that subject, where they should
indeed be the only items discussed on said forums.
2.Does that mean you can talk about TV shows in the General Forum? Yes it certainly does but what is
the most important aspect of the General Random soapbox discussions Is that it is random. Part of
the definition of random is not being ordered or prearrainged. No plan. So, basically what that
means is that you can talk about anything you like. And I do mean anything (I will get back to that
in a minute). "Soapbox" means that you speak about something passionately, fervently and most of the
time loudly.
3. Freedom of speech includes hate speech along with every other form of speech known and even
unknown to man. This is a very simple black and white concept. Either you have the freedom to say
what ever you please or you don't. It goes without saying that there are a few rare exceptions that
could lead to people being physically injured, like being trampled by panicing people after you yell
the word BOMB in an international airport. Hate speech on an online random forum cannot physically
hurt anyone.
4. So if, per the visable written rules of this forum we are allowed to say anything we please, the
question of the day becomes; Why are ID's and accounts being nuked here? Because someone has decided
that they don't like what we are writing and the rules be damned? If this is in fact the case,
should not the rules be re-written then? How can anyone expect people to obey the rules of a forum
if they don't know what they truly are?
