The Flaming has to stop

this forums gone down hill since it first opened.boggibill and novaking dont get me wrong it looks
great, you and the rest of the
admins are doing wonders. its all the flaming thats degrading your hard work..i have been part of the
eztv community for well over two years and lately its like no one can voice there opinion without
getting "ripped a new one"

i think you all know which thread got me tp post this...he started by giving his thoughts on a subject
and gets attacked for it.of course hes going to retaliate if provoked, everyone does.
if you dont agree with someones opinion or if you can prove its wrong why not say so in a polite way

if someone calls me an "idiot" then it my eyes there are a "wanker"

hun did seem to get the sharp end of the stick on that post, but then i'm
sympathetic to any one that has negative thing say about lost in terms of its
production or distribution. but it seemed mostly to be one tardbot in
particular..hardly seems worth mentioning. anyway sure hes a big boy and can
look after himself, but i'm sure he's relieved to know your here to defend him
from deflowering.

winter is coming and i think a bit of flaming will help keep the chills away.

and as my mum used to say..."cuttlefish is a funny word"...poor dear wasn't
quite herself towards the end.

a) you could have taken this in that particular thread.

b) hun was wrong, got corrected and continued not to understand. it's irritating
when people don't seem to get what you are trying to say, or understand why
things are the way they are. it's irritating when people don't search before
they post. it's irritating when people don't gather enough information to
understand what's going on before they post.

that's why he got flamed, and then he continued to flame back, leading to more
flames etc. etc.

hehe..never did get picked for the debate team...

if this thread was unnecessary then i wouldn't have posted it, as it stands i felt that it was very
necessary.

there is a difference between challenging a person intelligence and calling them an "idiot" and to "get
over themselves", its this that im getting at..not that if anyone was right or wrong.im not defending
anyone,i felt that the flaming could have been handled with a more subtlety, i just
don't like confrontation especially when it is "unnecessary".

i was using that thread as an example as to how much the flaming has increased.i'll say no more on the
subject. its not worth getting into an argument about.

flaming happens in almost every single online community at one time or another.
it never stops, and the best way to deal with it is to ignore it.

really i have pretty thick skin and besides it's just people behind a keyboard.
honestly i havent been around a computer for a few days maybe people just need
to get out a little more.

anyway smith e4 is now up and it's time for some of these flamers to step up
into a leadership role and do some good for the community at large.
