i am currently downloading ep9, and going to start the conversion to wmv while i am at work so i can watch it on my xbox360 when i come back. i hope it does get renewed. even though the acting is pretty cheesy at times, i enjoy watching this show a lot. oh, and since no one asked, and there always has to be that one token person that has to ask and annoy the crap outta everyone: "wh3n iz teh 720pe ep 8 commin'?" ~_^ admin : sorry was already done many times over. was edited and a response was posted. so maybe read first? |

no firefly was the exception to the rule; it was a dull show that fox showed uncommon good sense in cancelling. summer glau jello wrestling jewel stait couldn't have saved it...well maybe i'm wrong there. tscc is decent show and deserves another season but like everything else it comes down to the numbers. |

here is why you need me. i inject a subtle love into each and every thread i visit. without me, threads are just banal continuations of hate and angst. yay me, for i see rofl's in your endeavors. and i heartily spread the joy in them to you all. tahahahah ha haha ! i 3> extv. *now i gotta lie down, this hangover is making me drool at the lips* |

things are a matter of taste. i personally don't like shows that some people love! i hope this show doesn't get the axe, but like many shows my one opinion doesn't really matter. if the show is overwhelmingly unpopular then they'll cut it. it's business. |

i didn't find it dull, but it was trying way too hard to be a western. however the characters and cast were excellent. anyway look at how fox destroyed sliders. that was madness. i just find it hard to see why shows like er have 14 seasons. it seems incredibly boring to me. |

yeah it is down to numbers to see how popular the show is but again its actually down to boxset sales for the money to be made back on the production costs of the show. considering that it will cost us like 40 quid ($80) for the release when it comes out over here. the numbers merely suggest whether or not a show will be recommissioned as this populartiy projects dvd sales etc. terminator probably will continue as its brand sells itself. merchandising etc. this is where the money is actually made. especially now across the formats of dvd and blueray. why do you think these shows get pushed on to dvd so quickly after they are released. i understand that small shows like firefly get pulled but they simply dont have the brand that this show does. lets get to the point this is based upon one of the biggest box office smashers of its time. i like how the leading lady is actually british as well lol. atleast the acting is not as bad as the new knight rider series which is actually awfull and a crime against the original. i actually hope that gets pulled because its a really bad pastiche of something that was moderately ok to begin with. lets be honest david hasselhoff is a shite actor. i bet they remake the a-teamn as well. so all of you should keep your hats on. terminator will be here to stay. its been a success in the uk so far like heroes. the only thing stopping it is the writers. |

well, does name "firefly" ring a bell? "general consensus" can be like common wisdom, everybody agree but everybody wrong...but in case of tv shows it'll be too late. |

your comparing firefly to a series based on the terminator films? no comparison. its like comparing baywatch to twin peaks. as it says in the blog the season is ending because of writers not for any other reason. the ratings were good from wiki: following the resolution of the wga strike, the los angeles times printed a chart indicating the status of american network television series. the chart, reprinted by a number of other websites, categorizes the series as "on the bubble", a term used to describe series in danger of cancellation, although as of march 3, 2008 fox has yet to announce the fate of the series.[40] producer josh friedman has said his plans are to incorporate the unfilmed storylines from the remaining 4 episodes of season 1 into the start of season 2. but on the other hand. the series premiere in the united states was watched by 18.6 million viewers during its premiere time on january 13, 2008 according to hollywoodreporter.com roughly twice the number of the golden globes ceremony. |

can't believe they wouldnt renew this show. i loved it all season long! anyone else think the finale was a little lame or slow? there really wasnt all that much action in the 2 hours, and the commercials seemed to come every 3 mins |

think this was not the orignal finale. they cut the season short for the writers strike. for me, the same. all the hyping about the season end fight and then they dont even show anything. typical american stuff, you can buy guns as you wish, but cannot show "violence" at tv. |
