hi everyone 😛

well its official my isp is shapping my downloads.

i thought this may become more infamous as the months roll on.

things that dont work.

encryption
port 80, 21, ect
proxy servers

suggestions.

tor
h t t p s
hamachi vpn.
add more pls.

ok folks troll away. ive seen some threads on some bt sites saying hamachi
goes well if you can get the hamachi adapter into the clients lpd.

question is?

can my isp sniff out the hamachi encrytion? if not we might work on this if
anyone is interested. im creating an eztv network with hamachi, someone with a
fast uploads would be nice to try. my upload is at full speed so im not trying
to cheat and leech just cheat the cheaters throttle on downloads.

any other suggestions on the other methods bypassing the throttle please do
tell.

thanks in advance.

what kind of throttling is the first question.
here in australia heaps of isps throttle p2p,
so whirlpool.net.au forums may be able to help you,
however many types of throttling you wont be able to beat,
hardware like the alott netenforcer is state of the art
and designed to do just that, throttle p2p 🙂 so goodluck!

hmmm yes those packages like netenforcer sound expensive. would be interesting
to see what reaction isp's give when it gets broken. i believe bt will win out
even if it does have to overhaul the client to look like normal traffic. then
what happens? isp's go to war with customers and we just leave. its getting
to the point i just want to get cable cut the net and cap everything myself.

it seems my isp is taking advantage of the cp laws and sell data quotas over
what they can give then just block us. excuses are to much resources, stealing
software, films and songs, and prioritization. i get the feeling the real
reason is to get cash for data and not buy it and use p2p shame to get away
with the loot at the same time leaving us on the p2p network 10x as long giving
up much uploads from us while we wait, so the evil p2p naughty file arguments
stops . wont be long till they all start to use this shaping so i guess
someone must start somewhere.... some p2p clients are going legit so there is
the possibility backboners might force this shaping out of the deal by
contract...

they wont stop shaping bandwidth,
because only a small proportion of users care about their p2p speeds,
how many mom and pop users are going to write their isp complaining that their
p2p isnt fast enough? not a single one

so for the 2% of users that it bothers, they will let you get annoyed and move
onto another isp which is the leechers flavor of the month.

which means that the companys potential bandwidth liability at any one time is
perhaps 5x less.

because for every 1 heavy p2p user, you could have 10 email browsing users.

so if anyone figures out how to beat a netenforcer, (which is a very expensive
machine) dont tell a single soul, because as soon as you do, theres an army of
it guys waiting to reverse engineer your hack 🙂
