why does it not tell you the number of days a torrent has been on the site but
instead just says the hours. it means i have to divide the hours by 24 to get
the date of the torrent - which is kind of sucky. i suggest you the number of
days it has been on too.

also, it would help if you could state the date the torrent was added too.

as a practical matter (and speaking as a simple user), eztv does an excellent
job of providing pointers to the best-capped, most recent torrents for shows
that your tivo may have missed last night (or may not be available in your
area). the sorted-by-title histories are handy for shows that may be on their
4th episodes, by the time your chums say, "you gotta watch...;" and you have
some catching-up to do, to enjoy the latest episodes. but, really, this site
is about the latest episodes.

so the front-end, where each day's availabilities are separated by dated blue
bars, does an admirable job of indicating "how many days ago" an episode aired.
and, for torrents of this genre, if you flip through more than 2-3 "next page"
screens, you're looking for something pretty stale. the seeders on show caps
do a fine job keeping torrents alive well beyond what the typical clientele of
this site need. but once a show is more than a month old, does it really
matter how late you are, in days?

that said, here's a quick calculator: right-click on the [2] link for the show,
and open it in a new window - which will be mininova. they'll tell you how
many days it's been on their site.

but, as you get more current in your viewing, you may actually find you
appreciate having the age expressed as a clock, rather than as a calendar.

think of it as a "freshness meter." and when you find yourself saying, "crap,
that one's over four hours old!" you'll set up your rss.

enjoy.

i do appreciate the site. it is the main one i use. i was just saying that
maybe the date the torrent was added would be nice. forget about the days, i
just really wanted the date. but if that can't be done, that's fine - it won't
stop me coming here.

numaris, i am not a sad little cretin i was offering constructive criticism. it
is what you do to make the site better. and if i search for a show from the
show list, and then click on a particular show. it does not give the date the
shows were added so stfu unless you understand what i was saying.

the only time i ever "really" had a problem with the time, as displayed in the
show list, was when a certain *ahem* review *ahem* of knight rider 2008 came
out.

aside from the fact that, at the time the review was posted, anyone interested
would have seen the show some 280+ hours previously (which didn't seem to have
quite the impact of "11+ days"), i had wanted to reply with some of my own
thoughts about the show.

but, to do so, i would have had to reveal specific, disappointing plot choices
i felt the producers had made. and you know the rules: no spoilers for 30 days.

(i can say it now that the torrent's been up for 805+ hours: i thought the
scientist's daughter should have gotten behind the wheel in the end, instead of
predictably giving it over to the a neo-hasselhof - a show about a hot, brainy
chick in an amazing car would be great!)

and that was the only time i ever looked at the show list, saw the hours, and
whined to myself, "how much is that out of 30 days - and how many more hours do
i have to wait? the math hurts my brain!"

so, yes, the torrent's date would have been helpful, there. or, alternately,
the site could divide the hours by 24, for me, and display them as days. but,
of course, there is only one reasonable, practical solution - and that's to
have a hot, brainy chick handy at all times, to help me out with those
convoluted calculations.

because then, when i'm stuck facing a tough math problem, she could just ask
her car.
