you're probably right... but it was an american production. the american audience was just too stupid to be the first to realize how good it was. my ip address will show me in southern california, but i would never argue for the enlightened scifi appreciation of the american public. |

yeah it was. that guy is talking bs. first few episodes of season 3 were also on sky1 (uk) before the us! sky has its finger in all the pies

agreed. plus, they always showed a relatively uninterrupted season of sg-1 and sga. yes, the first half started later there than ours did, but i was able to see the second half of the season weeks before it aired on skiffy here in the us. |

really?? you think that dr. who gets broadcast in the us earlier? (i also recall a period where sg1 and/or atlantis was broadcast earlier in the uk than the us).

this whole america versus dr who thing going here is interesting, so while we're all trolling, its true that us sf works really well on a shole host of levels but you have to hand it to the brits - we're now into the third generation of dr who fans. my eight year old daughter plays daleks vs cybermen at school with her friends. the really scary thing is that david tennant did casanova and billy piper did diary of a call girl and its all over utube and the girls are acting out these parts as well - go figure. anyw3ay longevity trumps intellect every time, sad as that may be. |
