Amar é Para os Fortes tells the story of two mothers in search for justice after a police invasion in their community led to a tragedy that changed the lives of these two families forever. On one hand, Rita deals with the death of her youngest son, Sushi. On the other, Edna, the mother of police officer Digão, faces the consequences of her son's actions during the operation.
Cida loses her 11-year-old son, Sushi to police violence. Edna is the mother of Digão the policeman who kills the child. Seeking justice and surrender both mothers will face police corruption, the morosity of the justice system.
