i think it's cool that downloading torrents has come to the point where were
always debating the quality of the source. i think it means that soon enough
we'll all have awsome televisions ,monitors and internet. it will get to the
point where downloading in 720p will become the norm. it's just a matter of time.

p.s. you can be the 5th toaster.

i mean .. back in 1997 ... did you download the 400mb asf version of matrix or
did you search a few hours longer for a real xvid version? can you imagine if
they kept using that asf format and it would be still a standard now?


for me personally, that's not going to happen. i watch most downloads on my
xbmc (which rocks for it's ease of use) and it can't quite handle the 720p files.

the 350 mb xvid files look great on my 32inch tv but not as excellent as the
difficult to find hr 700 mb files (which i would prefer for most tv shows) and
my xbmc plays like a dream.

i spotted the tiny flash of the hardy boys and one tiny little pixelisation
during the play and one small freeze seconds before the end. far better quality
than i get from free to air tv where i get snow, premature ending of scenes
annoying voice overs etc

that will only happen if all people get superfast internet connection much
bigger harddrive on the pc's also a big factor is that tv sets and dvd/divx
players can handle and play them perfectly

a nice showing for laura and kara... the hidden 4 are amazing.
survivors: 39698->39676 to start out the season... i bet the mid-season break
has some huge catastrophe adding to the year wait. i don't think even half the
original survivors will make it to earth.

heh, back in '97 i was still on 56k :d
i recently moved to ireland, and olny net i have now is shitty 2mbit/256kbit
adsl with 22 gig a month from local telecom, so i can't afford to dl 720p.
