John Adams EXTV downloaders busted by HBO and ISPs. Tainted torrent?

i went to get john adams episode 3 from the mininova mirror and the comments
have several people who got kicked by their isps. busted by hbo. some claim the
torrent is tainted. i find it hard to believe that eztv has been infiltrated by
internet rent-a-cops. any insights?

i don't know. the commenters don't seem to know either. but they are saying stay
away from this torrent. perhaps it's not the torrent at all but hbo is somehow
able to track downloaders. that is why i was asking.

well theoretically they could log on to the tracker, and see the ips just as you
see them in ut...

maybe use peerguardian/tor/etc?

yes, it's easy enough to track ips "by hand" so to speak. and i was also
thinking too, those posts could just be griefers themselves. hbo or its agents
may be posting scary "i got busted downloading this" comments to disrupt piracy,
to intimidate us.

turning off my internet is not a "proportional" response as they say, to
downloading a show. there is no legal threat, when hbo calls isps and tells them
what ips were downloading, i'm not sure why they would want to end my account
and have me just go to the second best isp here. but for some reason they do it
anyway.

what a load of hypocrisy.

the show is about one country controlling another's and the american
independence from english laws. one day its oh people must fight for freedom
and next its usa is gunna shove it down your throats and control you anyway with
their laws.

i watch the damned thing and it makes me dislike usa even more. sorry guys for
that but usa fought for freedom and stopped england from destroying the cities
and taking away freedom, then the yanks go level some small time country to look
for wmd's then oh we need to liberate them. your government just does not get

as for blue ray, who needs all this crap? a good connection and a big freaking
hard drive and processor power is all one needs.

my defence is if they send over the air waves, out into space and all over the
joint, media hot shots give it away. if they think it's their intellectual
property then keep it behind a big berlin type wall and let nobody see it.

if i cant download it ez for a reasonable price then i get it free, or not at
all, no loss of revenue what-so-ever and everyone i upload to, believes this too.

what's next? a licences to walk or breath, to share or communicate?

we make friends, communicate here, and share our resources. leave us alone in

however we should remember that it's the us that brings us these shows in the
first place. so as long as we are in some place where the us won't bother
attacking in the recent future (i am in ukraine and that so far is a very off
the radar country), we can just enjoy these shows and watch in awe the show that
is the american legal system. an awesome book on the subject is "god wants you
dead" - about how religeons, political systems, etc wanna control you and how to
