i'm just wondering if part 2 actually ran or not. i wouldn't be surprised at all if a&e saw part one spread across the net last week like (sorry about this) wildfire and screamed bloody murder to the studio. as for part 1, i liked it enough to want to see where they go in part two. the 1971 film is one of my favorite films of all time so i spent a lot of part 1 looking for where certain plot elements would be folded in and guessing (correctly) which event they would use for the part 1 cliffhanger. i will say that most of the new characters are fairly worthless so far but the political climate works. the novel and film played off of cold war paranoia where this version gets to play off of post-9/11 paranoia, which has put the world on edge as much as, if not more than, the cold war ever did. i'm not sure you could have even tried to mount a remake without having that kind of tension to back it up as it is an integral part of the story. looking forward to part 2! |

according to http://dupe.sabeln.org/?section=tvrip  it wasnt released (yet) :s i hope it will turn up soon, as i dont want to wait a month to see pt2 (&the original film) *fingers-crossed* |
