always been a big fan of the original movie, but this was good too. good enough that i’m hoping for part two next week rather than the end of next month. |

do people not read the previous posts. this was ripped from an australian pay tv channel, and the 2nd part is scheduled to be screened on sunday 27th april... *sigh* |

just saw it and loved it. good cast, great story by crichton, both tony & ridley scott involved and a kick ass cliffhanger! can't wait for the next part. |

i'm going to wait and reserve judgment on this until i can see episodes 1 + 2 together. i never read the book but the original film was iconic and kind of kitsch, i remember watching it when i was a kid. a remake has a lot to live up to! |

like the ripper says, it's not scene quality--but it's better than nothing. guess you'll have to come up with some other reason not to watch the andromeda strain now. |

andromeda strain was pretty good, enjoyable to watch and decently acted, some pretty gnarly action scenes. personally i think they could have stretched it out a bit more, like a six ep 1 hour series. instead of 2 part 90 minutes so much happens in this first part that alot of the 'get to know the charachters' stuff that would have been a big part of the novel, was quickly hashed over or cut so that long scenes of dialogue to explain the complexity of the virus could sustain your interest between action scenes. very fast paced, seemed a bit like condensed soup  quick and tasty but notquite wholesome or satisfying. |

as an updated version of the movie i thinks its really good, good actors , special effects etc, cant wait for part 2, dissagree with stretching it out to six eps, its never the same,good effort , thumbs up in my book. |

the director screwed this good movie up, i have read the book and seen the 1971 film and the new one sucks because it seems political. |

i dont agree...they had to update it, and the movie was political too execpt more subtle. i thought it was an ok remake/update considering what other horrors hollywood has remade. but it's no robert wise film, to be sure. |

just watched part1 and thought it was very entertaining with good production values. plus its hard to pass up any decent sci-fi stuff. definitely looking forward to part2 tonight (crosses fingers) |
