well worth watching and downloading. the resolution for the pre-credits isn't even as bad as some people are making it out to be. |

yes, everyone does seem to agree about that. well almost everyone. i can't tell a difference myself, and i just want to make sure everyone realizes that the quality is plenty good enough to be able to watch and enjoy the episode. it isn't great, but what 350 rip is? basically the only reason to avoid this rip is because you're waiting for the 720p release (if it comes), which i actually am as well. but i love bsg too much to wait, especially when there's a reasonably good version available already, and there's no guarantee a 720p version will ever show up. hey, do you think scifi messes with the broadcast on purpose to discourage cappers? scandalous! |

i must agree! although she was emerged in a milky bubble bath (can't see much there) and talked gibberish, she struck me as the most appealing actress in the episode (whole season almost). her name is tiffany lyndall-knight h??p://www.imdb.com/name/nm0461101/ ![]() h??p://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/tiffany_lyndall-knight she's in a milf state already, but that's fine. ----- about the quality: it's horrible if you have a lcd screen and sit right in front of it. period. but there's one thing you can do... sit down a few feet away from your lcd. i did that and it was watchable. for the first part resizing the video image helped (if you can't do that with your media player, then screw you! haha!) in case you have a really big hd screen or beamer... well, you have the choice to swallow this little frakker or to wait a few more days. |

so this first part will be upscaled to 720p... ![]() done better this time. i don't know what kind of fix it will be other than a cap from sky one hd. i doubt scifi will rebroadcast again just for the scene und us p2p users. ![]() probably not worth for eztv to create a torrent for this one... but i will download it (from some other tracker) anyway, because i'm curious how aaf has handled the upscaling of the first part. |

it's not upscaled. i asked the uploader in another tracker and here is the answer: posted by killthee 7 minutes ago the first ~6 minutes (previously on bsg, first segment, title) are in the original broadcast resolution (sd with black bars on all sides to fill up the 720p image). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i'm out of here. almost got hit by a fruckingspoilerviper above. that was close! thank gods, i've trained my eyes all these years to avoid these fruckers! |

peeps, first of all, i have liked otv's uploads for ages and quality is invariably a 9.5/10. this one is no exception. the key words you should listen to is first aired, that means a station (canadian, i think) showed the signal as unaltered and was shown as pd or sd upto the titles. from there it was hd. if when you originally received the broadcast via tv your hd was set, it might have converted the signal, might not have (depending on your set up). an uploader follows what he is given and will upload accordingly. they will make adjustments for some deficiencies between diffrent compression ratios and sometimes not successfully. do not blame the uploader. if you dont like, do it yourself. otv, your uploads are ab fab. please continue. you can always spot an idiot who wants something for nothing and then complains. just to clarify, the sd part was the letter box in first 5 mins or so ? thats what people are going on about ? if i have spoken out of turn, i apologise. 14:9 gets rid of almost all sd once again, otv rocks munkybutt |

oh yeah, and has anyone watched the first few minutes of wizard of oz in black & white & then watched it convert to colour ? 24 split into multiple screens ? maybe thats the desired effect the producers wanted. same as this prog. not even in the uk will broadcasters alter the first 5 or six minutes. so uk, let me know if the first part is still sd. |

@munkybutt: spoilers, trolling... gtfo @lan-di: hm, thanks for the info. if i remember right, there's a scene rule that states downscaling to clearly specified resolutions (plus minus a few pixels and some minor ar distortion) is ok but upscaling is reason for a nuke. |
