actually, the dollhouse pilot has already been shot. i have it in my hands. unfortunately, it is coded and would cost me my job if i posted it. i love you all, but it's not worth my mortgage. fox, cw & cbs released fall pilot screeners this year. unfortunately, due to the writer's strike, abc and nbc did not. |

it was very much like early x-files, although there was way to much on-screen kissing with cheesy music... no man enjoys that unless it's girl on girl, and they're both hot. still i have high hopes for improvement and i can't wait to see more episodes |

one of the best pilot's i've ever seen. ticks every box. dismiss the critics taking swipes at petty things like realism, it's science fiction you chimps! |

the basic premise: an elite team investigating threats to american security that involve "fringe" science or fortean events, is solid. even pulling out a discredited scientist from an insane asylum in which he languished for 20 years after working for the federal govt and re-investing him with his lab and mission works...what didn't work for me was the time frame. everything that was done, all the plot points, including the fbi agent allowing herself to be a test subject in order to save her lover's life, would have been conceivable if there had been more chronological time in the plot for: the scientist to regain his mental health, for the son to evaluate his dad, for the fbi agent to become comfortable enough with both the scientist and his theories to take lsd along with other drugs and have an electrode put in her brain in order to... but that would be a spoiler, so i can't continue! to sum up- the plot was extreme but i could have accepted it if things developed over a period of a month, but in the space of 48 hours or so... no way! on the other hand... i am a big fan of charles fort, john keel, and fortean events in general. so i'll continue to watch it for the time being. |

the people hating on this show are some of the whiniest little hypocrites i've ever heard from... how many times can you sit there and say "x-files was such a great show, i wish it was still around, or at least have another show like it" ??... then another show just like it comes out, and all you can say is "this shit is ripping off the x-files" ?? well damn, kids... you can't have it both ways! on another note; here it is days later, and people are still whining about a very minor scene thrown in for the background, which you misunderstood in the first place. if you are going to bitch about something, shouldn't you at least get it right?.... of course i'm talking about the people complaining about the phrase in german. the lady spoke in german, the man said he didn't speak german, and so in response she 'dumbed it down' so that he might understand. but i guess some of you don't even understand things that have been simplified for you. |

seriously? it reminded me of word 97 3d art... and even back then, that was definitely bad. anyway, loved the pilot. probably one of the best pilots in the last few years... some things will surely be polished by the time it actually airs. |

oh i was right to be suspicious. what a total waste of production money. sure, if you have no good writers/directors/producers etc you can just throw a lot of money on special effects. if i hadn't seen some of the actors before i'd think they sucked. it's really sad to see talent and millions of dollars go to waste. and to the people comparing this to the x-files. at least that started out with well written characters and dialog before it sank into that mess it eventually evolved to. plus it was original for its time. *this* is not. |

just watched this, didn't do anything for me, same old paranoia theme. the place settings hanging in the air was boring, the ending predictable. unless this is up against nothing else i won't bother because i think it will get canned like everything else they put on the air. |

hehe, i think that's on purpose, you've been fooled .. if you guys had paid attention you would have noticed that the guy she's speaking with 'dies ist mein erste flug' answers in english that he already told her that he is from denmark .. in other words, she's making small talk in german, assuming that the man next to her is german, but it's not her native language, hence the bad german and indeed, this could become a good series, lots of interesting elements that could go anywhere |
