agreed on the german. it's just silly to get
that wrong.
even low-budget stargate sg-1 has an episode where the daniel jackson character
speaks german, and he does that quite well.
have a native speaker record it and learn the few sentences phonetically, geez.
hehe, i think that's on purpose, you've been fooled .. if you guys had paid
attention you would have noticed that the guy she's speaking with 'dies ist mein
erste flug' answers in english that he already told her that he is from denmark
.. in other words, she's making small talk in german, assuming that the man next
to her is german, but it's not her native language, hence the bad german
well .. what about the crappy german from the stewardess ..? or the co-pilot?
and even if the stewardess wasn't german, but "forced" to speak german on that
flight - why would the co-pilot talk to her in (bad) german, if no one of them
actually came from germany ..?
but i like wrong german in movies and series .. it makes me laugh *g* .. i
think one of the worst cases was a buffy episode with "h

great show, but i fear for what it will become in the future. seems jj abrams
shows always start out normal and evolve into some complicated scifi. this one
starts out complicated scifi, i can only imagine that it will be completely
incomprehensible by the end of the season.
