are you effing kidding me?????
what an awesome season finale!!!
i mean, there have been plot revelations throughout the season, that i kindof
had figured out.... but i'll be the first one to admit, that i had absolutely
no idea that it would end with that particular twist.

wow!!!!!

on another note: i was watching the news today about this serial killer in the
uk, how he's been doing the whole hooker thing too, i hope he didn't get the
idea from our favorite show.....
that guy looks pretty crazy from pics that they've shown of him.
jas

oh, i also want to say, if you have not jumped on this show and are suffering
from lost, heroes, or jericho withdrawl....... get on this show!!!!!!!!
brilliant writing & superb characters!

whos kidding you mully? is there an invisible post before yours? i'm confused.

i concurr, it was a great episode.
i had been gradually losing my temper with the plot's predictabilty since
about half way into the season. however the final twist has bought redemption,
even if it does seem a little convenient, the old "your brother is a serial
killer too, but you didnt know about it till he kidnapped your foster sister".
if we've seen it once we've seen it a hundred times. but now all that
frustration will be focused on bsg.

funny i was just thinking about the ipswhich killer in relation to dexter
earlier too. i wouldnt be surprised if the showed finally pushed him over the
edge, dexter makes me want to do bad bad things....like leave my shirt
untucked. and that chap they have arrested is innocent until proven guilty in
front of a jury of his peers...but there is something definately fishy about
him!

good riddance to lost, heroes and especially jericho. chewing gum for the eyes.

"are you kidding me?" is an expression we use in the states for being shocked.
i started the post, so no, no invisible "first" post.

i was also getting a little flustered by the "predictability" of the first
part of the season.

question: if anyone has read the books? there are two dexter books out, i know
the series is "based on" the first book.
i'm wondering how close is "based on" and if they are worth picking up?

maybe the ipswich killer was just really mad that the dexter season was coming
close to an end, and decided to go on a hooker killing spree to show hi
unhappiness with the networks....maybe somethin scotland yard should look into.

ipswhich/icetruck.......pretty interesting.

anyone think it was in bad taste printing a photo of someone suspected of
killing prostitutes, holding some custard?

well no, the public need a visual on him.

it was custard......
it is kind of odd that they've made another arrest in the case....

are you people kidding?

how the hell could you not see that twist from like 4 maybe 5 episodes back?
the writers were literally hitting you over the head with it by the second
episode you see the prostheticist.

i agree it's an enjoyable show, but rather dead obvious plot. glad to hear it's
coming back for another season.

i don't think he was talking about that revelation (who is the bad guy) but more
precisely about what are the relations between him and dex 😉

amazing show by the way!!! can't wait for the next season!

uh, that was the revelation that i was talking about.

how could you people not see that he was at least related to him in some way?
the general age similarity would pretty much leave him being his brother as the
only option.

was the blood room not enough of a complete and utter hit you over the head sign
or something? the only way they could have been more obvious is if they had
giant block letters on screen for 5 minutes saying "he's his brother". plus,
the entire episode with the father? do you people not recognize the classical
themes here? seriously, you have to be an idiot not to have seen it by episode 6/7.

seriously, you people need to lay off the tv and try reading a little.

well i didn't see it coming , meaning it was revelead to me at the moment the
writers wanted me too , which is a good thing , not everyone has maybe such keen
insight as you futtbucker , and if your referring to maybe reading the script i
don't know how your advice really has any value , the only thing you portrayed
was that reading made you arrogant and impolite

you know futt may have a point, even though he made it in the most tactless
way possible.

now i myself was mildly surprised by the twist of icepick fella being his
brother. not so much by the actual revelation but by their choice to conclude
the plot in such a way. i mean the long lost relative angle is something i
more usually expect from daytime soaps, but in this case i think they executed
it well enough. for that reason, though i was aware to a lesser degree of the
things futt mentioned though i didn't dwell on them. there were indicators,
let's face it they made no real attempt to hide the icepicks identity from the
moment prosthetics guy was introduced, so some sort of twist had to be
expected. also the shows fundamental obsession with blood, gradually
symbolising a fraternal/familial connection, the icepick's murder of their
father and his preoccupation with dexter surpassing that of just professional
curiosity.

i reckon they could manage to get another good season out of the plot but not
much more than that before things get stale. i was getting a little tired of
dexter but now i'm interested to see how they will deal with the guilt over
his brother, that sergeant on his ass and just how much more whiny his sister
can get before dexter chops her up himself.
