god, if by "all" you mean "you"... (or more precisely, "me" <-
coming from
you), then yes. "all" are in agreement.

=)

just my forum schtick coming into play. i see all the arguments and make my
argument in a seemingly collective fashion. of course, i have no proof that
everyone is in agreement with me. but you know.. schtick =p

and yes.. by all i mean me >.<

"jericho" fans send over nine tons of nuts to cbs

"after presenting 'jericho' fans with a cliffhanging season finale, cbs promptly
cancelled the program. the shocked fans quickly banded together, many using cbs'
own public "jericho" discussion forum, and began brainstorming on ways to
convince the network to bring back the show for a second season. a plot point in
the final episode of "jericho" involving the expletive "nuts!" (in reference to
an historic conversation between generals) was turned into a campaign to send
large quantities of nuts to cbs' ny, la, and affiliate offices. fans have sent a
total of $26,000 for a pooled campaign hosted at nuts online to ship over 19,000
pounds of peanuts to cbs. other efforts acquired over $9,000 to publish full
page advertisements in variety (national edition) and the hollywood reporter for
tuesday, may 29th. this is expected to become the largest ever fan campaign to
bring a television show back from cancellation." there's more about the massive
fan rollout below.
cbs created rich, interactive content online to accompany their show "jericho,"
in order to extend its fan base to the internet-savvy, tivo-owning generations.
despite suffering through the all-too-familiar mid-season hiatus employed by
many shows, the "jericho" fan base remained strong throughout the break,
partially due to the episodes being posted both for free on the cbs site as well
as for purchase on itunes. "jericho" returned from the hiatus in the same
timeslot occupied by "american idol." cbs

it with more reality tv or game shows uh.

the petition now has 89339 signatures. and nuts online has sent more that
24400 lbs of nuts to cbs, thats more than 11 tons... even if cbs does not pay
any attention at all to the petition, i think it help to bring attention to
other people about the show.

would be good if abc and hbo channels similar to that from the us would
broadcast over in the uk, they make so many good shows and maybe with the
ratings over here jericho and maybe invasion wouldn't have been canceled.

invasion i would say was as good as prison break and lost, and before it was
even shown in the uk it was canceled, i guess its the same with with jericho, i
havn't seen it on tv yet, has anyone else? plus, shows like that need to be
advertised a bit better maybe.

i personally think that most uk channels are rubbish. freeview is ruined by
shopping adverts and shit music channels that can only afford "the top 10 worst
songs of the 00s" why would anyone want to watch them? only good thing about it
is e4, or uktv gold.

c'mon jericho is lots of better than any realityshow!

and i must admit that over 100.000 signatures and tons tons of peanuts are
impressive. (and a good joke)

i have a plan to bring the excitement back to jericho (which i thought rocked
at the beginning)... zombies. classic radiation zombies, just hints of them,
don't show them at first. put the fear back in the show! it got too cutsey
family drama and then tried angling off into a 24 conspiracy type thing. what
i loved best was the abject terror, horror, and feeling of helplessness in the
first few weeks. some chewed-off heads could liven things up.

on the other hand... online petition are even more useless than real petition
because you can sign 100 times if you want... not that anyone would actually
check a real petition for ids but anyway...

plus even if they had everyone who actually watched the show sign on the
petition... so what? the network knows how many people were watching, they don't
need to know their names to know that they weren't enough for them to sell big
ads and that's all tv is about now, people...

so let me see if i got this right:

fans have been sending mass quantities of peanuts to get a cancelled new show a
second season. and it sounds kind of cool, because it is so different and
original, but it really isn't different or original, at all. l-a-m-e.
