@sbwinter2: indeed. i just tried the torrent (from bt-chat & mininova sources) and it's working fine - tracker responding normally, seeds/peers being connected etc. it was probably a temporary tracker down/unresponsive issue at the time you first loaded the torrent. enabling dht & peer exchange would have solved the problem for you, as mentioned previously. |

thank you for your kind response. it is much appreciated when someone actually nicely answers a simple question. i am sorry i posted twice. it did not show up initially and the forum will not allow me to delete the second post. i was hoping that this forum would be a place where people of all levels could ask questions and get assistance from other peers. i see that is not necessarily the case. i am sorry i annoyed so many people with what was really a simple question. |

i also do not have dht & peer exchange on the bit torrent app i use on the mac (maybe it's there in other apps or on my pc). i did not understand that answer when it was initially shared. |

sbw2: i thought your question was pretty clear. i'm not sure why you got the responses you did, i think there maybe have been a lot of extreme noob questions recently like "how do i download these shows?" anyway i had the same issue a few days ago. turns out my hd was about full, and after i made some room it worked fine. not sure what your issue is, but it is not normal, if that is what you wanted to know. |

i don't know, it didn't sound to me like he wanted a diagnosis based on the info he gave. he just wanted to know if he had a problem, and pretty clearly he did, and it was almost certainly on his end. and that was all that needed to be said: "if there are lot of seeds and leeches, and the swarm speed is > 0, but you are getting nothing, something is messed up on your end." |
