i have seen it and i agree with previous posters : it sucks. that's too bad considering it's based on a good comic, but this tv show has really nothing good : bad acting, bad storyline, ridiculous scenes (at the beginning when flash goes to see his father's tomb at the cemetery... come on, that scene is so classical it's lame!). plus, it reminded me of sliders, but in a worse way. well now, i just wanna watch sliders again ! |

the way the networks are canceling good shows, this will go for at least 10 seasons if not more. |

yeah, maybe sliders after they killed off the professor + wade wells and things stopped making any sense at all... don't compare the first couple seasons of sliders (which were some great and really inventive sci-fi) with this crapola. |

nope, wasn't impressed, but apparently i'm no judge as i liked firefly (cancelled) drive (cancelled) surface (cancelled) invasion (cancelled) reunion (cancelled) you get the picture, so unfortunately this may last for a while. oh shit! i liked thje pre-airs of californication (absolutely brilliant, funny and sexy a real difficult combo to pull off but this works) and the big bang theory so they're pretty much doomed! |

wrong. the writing, acting, directing & special effects in smallville are leagues ahead of this pile of crap. flash gordon has taken tv shows to a new level of suckiness. |

i dont usually post, but honestly after seeing great sci-fi shows ending too soon (farscape, serenity, hide, just to quote some) its just sad to see this pile of crap beeing aired, my father is a huge fan of f.g and has a b&w dvd with what i think its the original series and let me tell u it has more in the sense of style and plot that this "show" ever will. the special efects are on the same level tougth. kill it and bring back serenity,or drive or the black donnellys, hell bring back the dresden files, that was a show with potential if they ever could make it more like the books andi liked terrence maan as bob |

ok, i'll grant you this one. but as far as i'm concerned, smallville is also a pile of crap... so if smallville is leagues ahead of flash gordon, what does it say about flash gordon? ;) |

reread what you quoted and you'll see, zarkov is half mad, not flash gordon. and without the meteors? the few slow robots they sent were a joke. i didn't care for this either. i'd rather rewatch the 1980's movie version, a scifi classic! |

well, i wasnt going to dl this show after all the bad comments but then i read comments like this and i think it might be too good for you people. after all star gate is one of the cheesiest shows since xena, and firefly was just retarded, those idiots couldnt act thier way out of a paper bag. |

what is sad is that scifi ordered a full 22 episode season of this show already so more than likely we will see all of it. too bad that they decided to fund this instead of doing the bsg prequel 'caprica' |

sci fi could put its money to better use. if you can\'t pull top notch fx out of la or some ranch.. hire some online blender buddies. find a decent novel and seek out the author for first to film or creative license rights.. and just don\'t try to turn scifi into mgm while your at it. i mean there are some awesome, absolutely awesome storylines out there that blow the doors off sci fi dribbling around now a days. and it doesn\'t all have to be goreific (sorry al) or so deep you can\'t see the point. take a look at \'inherit the stars\', \'gentle giants of ganymede\', \'giants star!\' and just tell me zorac isn\'t your favorite ai.. and this was twenty years before the world wide web. ggg is a little like jurasic park, red planet, and the matrix all rold into one, with a heavy dose of empathy thrown in.. as they set course for oblivion only to be rescued by the poor pathetic humans and their lunar radio telescopes heralding. the supernova was excellent. it\'s all i hope stargate universe turns out to be. how about \'life probe\' and \'procyon\'s promise\'.. and at the end of the twenty century an ancient star traveler risks everything to change course for a dreary planet on the edge of a galactic spiral arm in order to barter for supplies.. a chance to find a nearby civilization with an faster than light drive (at a star known to humans as procyon) to save its makers. when the descendents of life probe return to earth to make it live up to its promise.. will earth be up to the challenge of an interstellar rescue mission for an entire civilization? and the \'proteus operation\'.. president kennedy sets the proteus operation in motion to rearrange time and perhaps rescue the world from nazi rule. or any of stephen baxter\'s novels.. but especially the h.g. wells follow up to \'the time machine\'.. \'timeships\'.. ring world, interstellar architects.. and lost traveler far from home. let's see 'traitor to the living'.. 'burster'.. 'world at the end of time' galactic war wages between beings who inhabit the stars, and one dislodges a cluster of 12 stars and sends them hurtling towards the end of the universe at nearly the speed of light. on one of the planets of a single star a human colony is in for the ride of its life as relativistic speeds protect the young civilization from the ravages of time.. and they must come to terms with the being that has brought them to the end of the universe. there are so many more that would make such wonderful films or series.. i'd love a arc series of the gistar novels. soo many good stories.. i can't believe the stuff on tv and in the theatres today.. |

actually...you'll notice, if you read that quote again, that zarkov is the one who is half-mad, not flash just sayin'. |

i was curious about this show because it's being filmed in vancouver and there have been a lot of 'space' shows that have thrived. but...i can only take this show in small doses...i can only watch it for a few minutes and then i have to bolt...doesn't catch my interest at all. i wince because the so-called special effects remind me of stuff from decades ago. and acting, what acting? |
