hehehehe. i didn't say that i liked it or watched it out that many do run quite a number of seasons, as opposed to the one hit wonders of many us shows. sea patrol is dissapointing. i thought it would be better. i'd really like to see thank god you're here (aus) back on here again. was very happy to see the first episode, but none since |

cracking first two episodes - looks like it has some great potential. so far, not a patch on stingers (don't think that there will ever be a cop show that will be) but a great start. very much looking forward to the coming weeks. |

agreed. it's certainly better than your average cop show from anywhere in the world and i'm including inspector rex, the bill, csi(s) etc in the average category. it's definitely not up there with blue murder or phoenix but it's probably on a par with wildside in my opinion. i would urge anyone from somewhere other than australia to give it a go, especially if their only australian televisual experience has come from neighbours or home and away. one of the best things about the show is how coloquial it is and how much truer the characters are to the australian identity than most other programs. i'm not saying they nailed it by any stretch of the imagination and it's going to be a loooooooooong time before we see an australian version of the wire but it's definitely raised the bar. for that, we should all be thankful. |

er, because that's what was written in an article last week in smh. didn't look like melbourne city to me... or maybe they are doing that on purpose & making it vague... sea patrol is pretty lame. compare that to sbs's recent drama the circuit & you can see that budgets don't equal better television. probably made on the catering budget of sea patrol & it still shits all over channel 9s effort. |

it certainly looked like melbourne to me. i think the tram was a bit of a giveaway. this show is certainly better than sea patrol. it needs to develop, but i think it has potential to be as good or better than u.s. and u.k. shows. |

wtf is going on here? the show is terrible. it's australian. after all this time, they are still making cop shows only marginally better than 'bluey'. sad but true. i have never seen such lousy acting - maybe when my kids were infants in the school play. |

what an odd thing to say. you must have been watching with your eye patch on whilst scratching your arse with your peg leg whilst your parrot screeched something nonsensical in your ear. you certainly don't seem to have been watching the show too closely. |

@satansmanservant "you must have been watching with your eye patch on whilst scratching your arse with your peg leg whilst your parrot screeched something nonsensical in your ear." now that is what you call an odd thing to say. i wouldn't bother posting my moans except for the fact that there are so many posts recommending what is a patently poor-quality show - and even suggesting that it is up there with the current crop of shit-hot us stuff. i just don't understand what is going on. sorry. by the way, it's not terrible because it's australian, it's terrible because it's terrible. the dialogue stinks - it could have been written by a ten-year old. it's like watching one of the third-rate itv cop shows that get churned out by the likes of linda la f*cking plante all the time over here in the uk - but not even that good. |

i liked it. i used to live in europe and the english cops show(detectives as they call them there). are just as good. they don't give a way who did it right away so you can keep guessing to the end. this one is going in my rss filter list....
