the gay part is a fantastic idea. as a newcomer to the torchwood universe ( did see the first season, but still) i was laughing my ass (?) off, ten minuttes into the show.. and it just kept getting better, and more fun.. great upload, and great that the "next week teaser" was included.. |

i wish i knew the ages of some of the other posters to this forum.... let me be frank: i like torchwood. i really liked capt jack during his run in doctor who. i am 54 years old and heterosexual - and while i'm not overly homophobic there are things that bother me... adult men having sex with children, hunters who have to prove their virility by butchering animals, people who want to neuter all male cats to save endangered avian species, text messaging, and men tonguing each other. i'm a product of my era. i'll continue to watch the next few episodes of torchwood - some of the first season's episodes were "brillant" while others were only fair (my favorite was the evil fairey one). but if the show becomes a showcase for men liplocking each other i'll gradually be turned off. just thought the advertisers might like to know! :-) |

i'm sure the bbc's advertising clients will take your comments to heart. to be fair russell davies is obssessed with *all* varieties of sex, not just gay. you don't have to think back too far to find examples of him writing scripts where pretty much everything was fucking nearly everything else. |

you're not the targetted audience. so yes, i can see how all of it doesn't appeal to you. but the show is what it is. and considering how they started off the jack and ianto storyline in this episode, i think it's very safe to say there's going to be more man-on-man action. |

ok first of all i haven't even watched this episode yet... sure it makes me a little squeamish watching two dudes make out but... come on... not watching a show because of it is pathetic... get over it... some dudes are gay... its just the way it is... and... doctor who being gay... what? have people forgot about rose tyler... he wanted to bang her so bad... and i am guessing the dude who made that post also didn't watch the christmas special this year... and need a new doctor... david tenant is considered by a lot of people to be the best doctor since sylvester if not better than him... and the only other guy who could of played him is john simm and he is already the master... just thought i would put my opinion out there since everyone else was |

well that doesn't mean anything, he wanted to bang that tree person as well he does only travel with women though. i think the title of the episode describes what happens rather well actually. |

at the very beginning of the show i was thinking to myself this has a very a "buffy the vampire slayer" feel too it. next thing i know spike appears, and he is very spike like in his evil times. i love james marsters, i have loved most of dr who, and almost all episodes of torchwood. the dr. who xmas special to me had moments of genius but some of the writing sucked. i particularly thought the writing sucked in this episode and couldn't even watch the whole thing, i just turned it off. maybe i was just in a shitty mood, but i hope the writing has a bounce back. and my opinion has very little to do with the gay interactions in the story line. |

the doctor has traveled with men too. but yes, he most often travel with women. not that it matters, though. cause the doctor hasn\'t been involved with any of his companions in a romantic sense(excluding rose). |

i don't mind the gay/bi stuff, but i seriously hope this remains a sci-fi show, not a soap opera. i'll overlook this episode and hope they'll go back to usual. no one's waiting for a sci-fi soap opera about the relationships between torchwood employees, that should remain a background theme as it was in the first season. i mean, aside from all the kissing (appropriately after the episode title) there was nothing happening (something about a non-existant diamond, whooptydoo). |

that's one thing i've always found rather ... unwieldy with torchwood ... exactly who is the target audience ? it's pretty much a kid's tv show with sex clumsily nailed on top for when they run out of stolen sci-fi clich |
